WE ARE HERE TO HELP
We are here to provide support, resources, and services in the community to address the challenges of poverty, by focusing on education and moral support. By meeting immediate needs and providing educational assistance, our programs are designed to make a difference in the lives of others that are in need all while reassuring God’s Love, Peace, and Happiness to each individual.
HOLIDAY MEALS PROGRAM
Please consider contributing to our annual Holiday Meals Program which provides Thanksgiving and/or Christmas meals to the under-privileged in our community who are struggling to make ends meet. By partnering with LPHO, we can purchase a Holiday feast for our community. The dinner includes turkey as the centerpiece, meats, vegetables, stuffing and gravy as the side dishes, fruit, dessert and drinks.
LPHO OUTREACH MINISTRIES
“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.” (Mt. 25:35-36)
Outreach is shared among many ministries of our parish for those who wish to participate in local service opportunities related to peace and justice initiatives as they arise throughout the year.
Opportunities to serve may include events such as: parish meals for those in need, assistance to the elderly and disadvantaged, the Holiday Meals Program, and after school program, etc..
Events, fundraisers, and opportunities to serve are posted in the bulletin or on the narthex bulletin board.
